Welcome to In The Meantime Mama! I love scrapbook paper... |
My name is Liz and I'm glad you stopped by!
This blog is where I share productivity and creative stuff this mom does while the baby naps.
Family has always been important to me. Yet, my career path took me to many places and job opportunities for most of my adult life (thanks to the influence of my hard-working mom). Now that I have a family of my own, I find myself rediscovering and reinventing who I am.
One thing carried over from the office to home life: I enjoy writing and researching. I love searching and sharing information that inspires and encourages--good information that we can all use. Learning to manage a family gives me plenty to worth with!
Speaking of my household, I'm married to a techie husband and we have a buttoned-nose toddler who loves avocados at snack time and almond butter sandwiches for lunch (this is now subject to change at his own whim). We call Southern California our home (for now!)
In essence, I'm trying to balance home life with the creative/passionate/idea-driven side of me. The journey has not always been smooth, but I continue to grow.
I find that motherhood matters, but so does what I do in the meantime.
A few more interesting facts about me:
- I love cardigans. Like, love love.
- One day, my sis and I discussed how we wanted to teach our kids some basic Filipino words. We ended up creating this Tagalog alphabet app for toddlers. Check it out!
- One of my favorite quotes that I try to honor everyday is a saying from Picasso:
"the meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away."
